Sir I have low grade intermittent fever with chills for two month after having fever for 10 days I my doctor test for typhoid which show s typhi o 360 titres at that my direct bilirubin was 0.39 doctor prescribed me antibiotic for five days initially after improving my low grade fever and slight chill keep coming back I have done my usg also which show mild thick appendict hepatitis b and c was negative yesterday I did my lft which total protien 8.5 reff range 8.4 my direct bilirubin is 0.62 and ast is 41 normal is upto 35 I have digestion problem as well alt is also normal alt is 62 apart from ast and bilirubin and total protien everything is normal my stool is yellow is it cirrhosis.

Dear sir your usg should have shown signs of cirrhosis if it was present. Your liver functions are deranged probably due to typhoid. The antibiotics may need to be extended for another 5 days. Speak to your doctor about it.
