Good morning sir I have a pre-anal fistula since 4 months fistula tract open in one side (internally) the tract is deeply pass across the sphincter with 5 aclock direction. The tract is highly fibrosis clinics doctors found problem to removes that fistula surgically or with a laser. I have more severe pain with every defecation I got a completely medications (antibiotics+metronidazole) I am use local antiseptic solutions & locacal anesthesia jell I am fasting (drink more water and juice) but the fistula tract steel fibroid. Fistulous tract are very hard to heal because their lining is epitheliases so they don't heal spontaneously. U can do sitz bath and see for some changes but mostly you would require surgery for the problem.

Hello lybrate-user, please understand that fistula cannot be cured with medicines only. It has to be dealt locally any some or the other means. Both fistulectomy and laser surgery (filac) are effective effective. A lesser treatment is seton which might help in healing. But you will need to undergo under a surgeon at some point of time.
