I have 12 haemoglobin, transferrin saturation is 7%, tibc 413 microgram per dl, uibc is 57.7 micro mol per litre. My doctor prescribed iron supplements, t3 lc soft gelatin capsule. Need your help if the medication is correct or not. Also would like to know if it is the case of iron deficiency or iron overloaded. Appreciate your help.

Hi, Yes this is for all the components of blood. It is iron deficiency not overload. Also include iron rich foods in your diet like Dark green leafy vegetables, Watermelon, Dates, Dried fig, Bajra,Brown Poha, Garden cress seeds the richest source of iron. These seeds can be soaked overnight and taken with lemon. Lemon water a source of vitamin C can be taken for good absorption of iron.
