My grandfather is 77 years old. He is having low platelet count of 20000 and also haemoglobin 6.4. There is no iron deficiency in body nor any other problem. Doctor here suggest to have a bone marrow test, but for this age group its somehow very painful for him. Can you suggest any other way of recovering from that?

There is no other way than getting bone marrow test done, because it is absolutely necessary to rule out serious conditions that may require urgent chemotherapy.
