Is qutan habit forming or addictive drugs? May it causes dependency? I take 50 mg or 75 mg for 3 years due to my insomnia problems. Before qutan I took clonazepam near about 5 years. But I became dependency on it. Then I gradually stop benzo and now I continue taje qutan 50 mg. Dr. said me it is safe drug except some side effect. So I have questions, is qutapine addictive as like benzo?

It does not come under addiction category medication and can be safely taken on a longer run, but, only under the supervision of a-psychiatrist. You need to be monitored for various health, lab parameters and at least once in 3 months review is needed. It should not be taken over the counter on own, and the resulting consequences can be disastrous. Good luck.
