I have been married for around 6 months now however my husband 34+ years of age lacks sexual interest since the beginning. He is not even interested in kissing or hugging or getting intimate. It is always me who initiates and we only have sex once in 5 or 7 days and he can not hold the erection every time I have to be on top of him. He had undescended testicle when he was small and got operated to move the testicle back to its place however it never grew. We got some tests done. His results were:- luteinizing hormone: 3.48 follicle stimulating hormone: 6.09 lh/fsh ratio: 0.57 with period of abstinence: 5 days semen analysis report: volume: 1.8 color: gray-white liquefaction: 25 viscosity: normal ph: 8.0 fructose: detected agglutinates: absent motility: 9 motility - progressive: 1 motility - slow progressive: 01 motility - non-progressive: 08 motility - immotile: 91 vitality: 42 sperm count: 19 normal forms: 10 abnormal forms: 90 head defects: 60 tapered head: 15 please help. Is his extremely low sex drive a result of his one testicle not growing or is there any other reason. Can this be cured. Please help doctor.

Hello- your husband is suffering hypogonadism due to undescended testicles. Surgery can only place the testicles in the scrotum. But what about its shrinkage? For males with hypogonadism, low testosterone can affect the development and maintenance of male reproductive organs, including the testes, penis and prostate. In fact, low testosterone levels can lead to issues like reduced muscle strength, hair loss and impotence. In ayurveda, hypogonadism usually presents as shandhatva or napunsakta. It means inability to sire a progeny by either. In case your tests shows abnormal hormone levels and you experience the signs and symptoms for the same, don't worry. Ayurvedic vajikaran therapy (which includes, aphrodisiac herbs), and some simple lifestyle and dietary changes can help you recover naturally.
