I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. Combined hormonal contraceptives such as the birth control pill may be used in some patients with lupus, but should not be used in those with very active disease or increased risk for blood clots including those with positive antiphospholipid antibodies, a history of blood clots, or other risk factors. Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.
