I had unprotected sex with a woman about 2 months ago but she took levonorgestrel after 24 hours. Now she is experiencing pelvic pain and cramping, dizziness, burning sensation while urinating, vaginal bleeding and a general feeling of vomiting and fatigue. She took pregnancy tests several times but they ended up as negative. She does not think that she missed a period so I suspected it to be uti or pid as she douched on a regular basis but later she took methotrexate 30 mg two times with folic acid rescue as the methotrexate symptoms were quite severe. She had a greyish translucent discharge but it has decreased and the vaginal bleeding has stopped but she still experiences pelvic pain in the centre which sometimes spreads to the sides, predominantly the left side. What do you think?

Methotrexate shouldn't be taken without doctor's advice as it can worsen these symptoms. Yes these symptoms sound more like pid or uti. She needs to get an ultrasound, liver function tests and urine culture and sensitivity done and treated accordingly.

We need to do swab and urine culture test to justify if it's infection and treat accordingly.
