I am 22years old and had undergone tympanomastaidectomy operation on 21st march 2015 and after that done within 5days my operated ear is been discharging the pus, I had tried heavy antiboitics still it didn' t work now we along with my doctor sent the pus sample for culture test based on that I took iv named cefoperazone and sulbactum still the pus is oozing out so far I had consumed 14 injections of the same and stopped as there was no recovery or stoppage of discharge. Now my doctor is saying we will repeat the operation again and said that this time she will remove off the bone within the ear (earlier it was slightly removed in my 1st operation). Should I go ahead with the operation or are there any other drugs that can heal my pus discharge. So far it is only a month, is it recommended to go for the another operation within a month span with such an acute infection of my ear please reply we are worried.
