Hello doctor I am mother of 4.5 month old baby weight 6.1 kg only. He has loosenotion since 4 days we visit to doctor near by she gave walamycin 2.5 ml econorm sachet 1 bd. But. My baby is still passing loose motions he is on lactogen 1. Because. Of no breast milk supply please help me I am. Not finding any solution he is going 3 or 4 times in a day.

Loose motions take some time to subside, even with the best of care. The gut takes time to return to normal. In the meantime, it is important to ensure that adequate oral fluids are being given to prevent dehydration. If the child does not have features of dehydration like sunken eyes, excessive thirst, or decreased urine output, the disease is likely to slowly settle. Changing from a bottle to a katori-spoon to give milk decreases the chances of recurrent upset stomach.
