I have been using the water hose continuously for a few days and suddenly I developed right hand ring finger trigger and at times in the mornings difficult to bend. Have been taking neurobion forte daily. Blood test last year ruled out arthritis rheumatism. Your advise please.

Regards Lybrate user. Trigger finger may occur due to constant pressure on tendons in the hand (tendons are cord like structures that connect the muscle to the bone). The pressure could dent the tendons and when the tendon moves within the hand, the dent may get stuck over the small ligaments and may need excess pressure to be pulled out. It is essential to modify your activity to avoid continuing pressure on the tendons. Try consider wearing a non slip hand glove during use of the hose, have the hose padded up to increase the circumference a little so you may not have to hold it very tight, try to alter your hand position to avoid getting the tendon locked thereby preventing further inflammation. It is recommended to consult an orthopaedician or orthopaedic physiotherapist for management of the trigger finger.
