I am a cml patient on imatinib 400 mg for 10 years. I want to plan a baby. Can I conceive on the medicine?

Dear lybrate-user, it is not safe to conceive when you are on imatinib. So please consult your doctor regarding the duration for which you have to take the medication. Let them assess and decide if you need to continue it, and for how long. Also discuss with them your plan for pregnancy, so they may be able to give you safer medications, if that is possible in your case. Plan pregnancy after that.
