I understand your concern for your father. In physiotherapy we have several techniques to treat Parkinson?s patients like stretching exercises, manipulation techniques, mobility program, co-ordination/balance training etc. Physical therapy is the best treatment that we can offer to patients to make them work independently by increasing there functional performance. So I would recommend you to take him to physiotherapist who can make a best treatment plan from further deterioration of disease. By the time you can ask him to do daily walk for 20 min (if he can do independently) and general mobility exercises so that his muscles does not get stiff / rigid. Regards.
