I am suffering from alopecia (hair loss in front head) and also from hypothyroidism. Earlier I took minoxidil 5 percent and finasteride 1 mg for 15 year's but now I have stopped due to side effects since last 2 years. Pls advise is homeopathy is effective and how much time it will take to cure. I am 56 years old male.

Hello lybrate-user! as we age our hair texture and volume reduces. Genetics is a major factor for a healthy hair. Another reason for hair loss is hypothyroidism if it isn’t in control. Get a blood test done for it. Take your medicine regularly for it. There are other treatments for hair loss like prp, mesotherapy and low level laser light. Consult with a trichologist for the treatments. Take a multivitamin with multi mineral supplement and have a protein rich diet.
