Dr. Asked to give 2 ml of ibugesic plus as fever was not dropping with other paracetamol syrup Now I have read on internet Ibugesic plus is not safe for infants below 1 year. Syp paracetamol 90 mg 4 ml out of 120 mg syp every 4 hours. Will be safer alternative. You only need icepack compression with paracetamol to overcome pain & fever induced by DPT vaccine.It may take a day or two. Once or short course of ibugesic is safe in small children.

Fever is common after giving dpt vaccination. It will subside in one or two days. Meanwhile you can give any paracetamol preparation for one or two days. For your baby by giving ibugesic plus just for one day nothing will happen. You need not worry. Ibugesic plus also contains paracetamol.
