Women with pcos are at higher risk of developing complications during pregnancy. Babies born to mothers with pcos are at high risk of staying in the neonatal icu or may die just after their birth. So it is important to take necessary precautions and follow doctor's instructions while planning pregnancy. Few complications include mischarriage or early loss of pregnancy, gestational diabetes (diabetes only pregnant women get), preeclampsia (sudden increase in bp after the 20th week of pregnancy), preterm birth (baby is born before 37 weeks of pregnancy) and cesarean or c-section delivery.
