Cancer presents as uncontrolled proliferation of cells leading to symptoms like palpable lump, ulceration, abnormal bleeding from anywhere, weight loss, difficulty in swallowing, change in voice, change in bowelor bladder habits, throat pain etc. One has to go for complete examination of body for any obvious lesion, some radiological investigations like chest xray, ultrasound abdomen etc, blood investigation for cancer markers and routine urine and stool examination. If any specific symptoms are there then specific tests may be done, otherwise routine screening should be done atleast annually.
