I am 43-year-old female and I am suffering from anosmia. It has been already 2 weeks and I am still living with this. It is irritating to not smell anything. Doctor can you please help in knowing how long will anosmia last?

In the majority of cases, the smell comes back within one or two weeks, depending on the reason for smell loss. If it remains for a longer time, it is unpredictable. It can be only known by analysing the reason behind it. Anosmia is caused due to blockage or swelling in the nose. Blockage may occur due to tumours, bone deformities inside the nose or nasal septum and tumours.
