7 days back my toe nail got extracted during an accident. Doctor did the dressing and told not to dress the wound before 5 days. So as I was opening the bandage at last I saw that the gauze is stuck badly to the blood in the skin and tried to remove it but it started bleeding each time and it's paining a lot. So I left some gauze like that only and it became harder. And the pain increases whenever I touch it. What can I do? Can I leave it just like that and it will come of on its own? Coz it hurts badly whenever I try to pull out the string of the gauze. Pls somebody advice.
