Hi, is anyone here who can answer my concern? I have pcos since 2018 and I take yazz pills for 4 years. My husband told me to stop taking pills so that we will have a baby in the future. Then I stopped taking pills in march 2022. Until my menstruation was irregular again. So, I went to my obhygiene last august 2022 and found out that still I have pcos in both ovaries. So she prescribed me to take duphaston and polysitol because I told her that I want to have a baby. So she told me once I have menstruation I will start taking polysitol continuously for up to 3 months and after 15 days of my period, I should take the duphaston. Now, my main concern is I mistakenly take the duphaston. Instead of 10 days, I take it daily up till now. So, today my last tablet for my 3 boxes of duphaston that supposedly that 3 boxes are for 3 months duration. I informed my obhygiene about my concern and she told me to stop taking now the duphaston since I have a lot of side effect specially its almost a week I have spotting only. My question is, there is no issue to take duphaston for 1 month?

If you take duphustan continously you ll not conceive. your gynaecologist has told you to take after 15 days of periods because you ll hv aovulated by then and possibly conceived .duphustan ll then just act as a support for continuation of pregnancy. By taking before ovulation you ll likely hv difficulty in ovulation and difficulty in conception.

Duphaston for a prolonged time will only make periods irregular for the next month. Other than that, there is no effect on conception and future pregnancy. Start healthy lifestyle and diet to maintain weight in the healthy range to bring your symptoms under control. If you don't conceive in 3-6 months, consult your doctor regarding ovulation induction.
