Hello sir ,i was using opium since 12. Then in 2015 I quit opium with buprenorphine, bt after that I started using buprenorphine 4 mg daily. 2 weeks ago I got visa to canada, thats y I decided to be clean. And I consulted to doctor in max hospital chandigarh. And doctor gave me tapentadol ir 100 mg 1 tab at morning, 1 at mid-day, 2 at night. Now m feeling good after so much pain, through 7 days .with this tablets. Now m afraid .is it possible to quit tapentadol easily without withdrawal. As I was using since last 10 days. Doctor asked to take it for one month more.

Yes it can be quitted but journey of recovery is not as short as 1 month. In most case it takes around 4-6 month, in some it might take a year or so, but not with tapentadol alone.
