Respected sir I am a 74 years old man, non diabetic. I have chronic ibs problem. For this my physician prescribed librax tab at bed time. I am on atocar f for hyper cholestromia, telsite 20 mg for bp. He also prescribed me alzolam 0.25 mg tab at bed time. It is said that after taking librax there is no need to take alzolam. But without taking this medicine I do not get sleep at all. Will it alzolam interact with librax? Is it risky? Regards dinanath.

Using alprazolam together with chlordiazepoxide may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, and difficulty concentrating. Some people, especially the elderly, may also experience impairment in thinking, judgment, and motor coordination.

Better take these medications only if prescribed. Side effects are more than benefits if taken wrong.
