Hello doctor. My mother suffered breast cancer when she was 36 years of age. I am 34 now and I am soon approaching that age bar. I am really afraid. Doctor please tell me are there any precautions that could be taken to prevent breast cancer?

Prevention is always better than cure and making a few lifestyle changes and being a little more aware, can lower down the risk of breast cancer. Prevention include- regular screening of breast cancer after a certain age, be more aware about the breast cancer symptoms and signs and do a self-examination, limit the amount of liquor consumption, regular exercises reduce the risk of breast cancer, limit the hormone therapy post your menopause, maintain healthy weight, and take healthy diet.
