My father has been diagnosed with lumbar canal stenosis. He is hypertension. Doctor suggested lumber microsurgery but for now he has prescribed two medicines oxcarb 300 mg and pregaba 75. I have seen many side effects of these two medicines. Is it safe to consume?

Every medicine has some or other side effect. It depends on what benefit you obtain vis a vis the side effects. Pregabalin is regularly prescribed in lumbar canal stenosis and had a good track record. Oxcarbamezepine is infrequently used, in comparison in lumbar canal stenosis cases. Both can be used and the predominant side effects of both is sedation. They can be started and stopped if side effects are bothersome.
