Doctor, my wife has been diagnosed with fatal breast cancer. We both are comforting each other but I know she is as worried as I am for her. Doctor please tell me what are the stages of breast cancer?

Breast cancer is categorized in four stages and this depends on the size of the tumour and whether it has spread to lymph nodes or other body parts. Different stages include- 1) stage 0- this is known as ductal carcinoma in situ (dcis). The condition determines that the cells have not attacked the encompassing tissues. 2) stage 1- tumour has grown but its size is less than two centimetres and it has yet not attacked the lymph nodes. 3) stage 2- size of the tumor is more than two centimetres and it is now influencing the lymph nodes. 4) stage 4- severe stage of cancer and spread to other body parts such as bones, lungs, liver or even mind.
