I am 6 weeks pregnant and got to know recently that I am hepatitis b reactive with score of 483, but my husband is not reactive. Hbsag core antibody and envelope antigen were advised by my gynaecologist those tests are negative for me. Now I am confused as to what the issue is? I want to know the repercussions to me and the baby and the way it can be prevented. And what are the changes of infecting the baby.

A hepatitis b surface antigen test shows if you have an active infection. A hepatitis b surface antibody test is used to check for immunity to hbv. The hepatitis b core antigen test shows whether you?re currently living with hbv. Positive results usually mean you have acute or chronic hepatitis b. It may also mean you?re recovering from acute hepatitis b. Presence of envelope antigen suggest active hbv replication.
