I am a 20 year old woman. I got severe lower right abdominal pain today and was diagnosed with appendicitis by ultrasound scan. I had been given antibiotic tablets for 5 days and has been suggested to do the surgery in 4 weeks no matter even if the pain is no more by then. Should I consider having a surgery if the pain and all the symptoms gets resolved after the antibiotics course?
