Headaches can be a really annoying because of the pain they cause. For treating a headache, its important to know what is causing it. There are many reasons why you might be having throbbing pain. A headache can be because of tension, stress, heat, dehydration, low bp, injury or other underlying diseases. Depending on what is causing your headache, whether it is a common one or a major one, whether it is frequent or daily, medications need to be taken. Most headaches can be treated with over-the-counter drugs like ibuprofen or paracetamol. However, if you are getting regular headaches, you should check with a general physician.
