I have pcod .for pregnancy Dr. suggest letrozole from first day of periods to 5 days. After follicular study, the day after ovulation hcg injection 5000 units given. And progesterone tablets are given. Bt after this I am not pregnant. Is hcg injection on day after ovulation affect my pregnancy?

Thank you for your question. For pregnancy, both the partners should get evaluated. Your partner's sperm count needs to be done. Inj hcg is given for ovulation to occur. You will be adviced to keep contact 36 hours after inj hcg. If that does not work and your partner's semen analysis is normal you can go for intra uterine insemination.

This is not due to the hcg. The chances of pregnancy with this method is only 10-15%. You can go for insemination for some improvement.

In infertility there won’t be any hard andf asthma rules ,sometimes there should be luck ,injections will not prevent pregnancy
