How to stop beta blockers gradually. I consumed embeta xr 50 for 10 days. I asked from a doctor to stop then he suggested that take embeta xr 25 alternate days ie 10 tablet in 20 days. I want to know that whether this is right method to stop or not. Should I use embeta xr 12.5 mg or abruptly stop it as above mentioned. I was taking this medicine for mild chest pain. Ecg was sinus rhythm border line ecg inferior and anterior t wave abnormality is non specific.

Hello lybrate-user. You should follow the doctor's advice. But after stopping the medication, you may need to be vigilant and in case of any abnormal symptoms you should immediately contact the doctor. Allopathic medicines hardly can be withdrawn in absence of other treatment.
