Dear Ketan, Most allopathic doctors diagnose the illness from symptoms, signs and investigations. For the diagnosis, an algorithm of treatment will be there and they follow them. Olanzapine is NOT a symptomatic treatment. If 15 mg is given for treatment of schizophrenia or other psychosis in an adult medically healthy patient, it is a normal dose.

Hi lybrate-user, olanzapine is an antipsychotic medication used in illnesses like psychosis or schizophrenia. It is used in dose range of 5 to 30 mg per day. So, 15 mg per day can be considered a moderate dose.
