Hello I wanted to know about a question. I have had chickenpox 2 weeks back. Its my 14 day and I have almost recovered, but there are still dry scabs on my body .now the problem is today on my 14th day when I have fully recovered, my 1 year old have got infected and have fluid filled blisters on her under legs n red rashes on her arms. Now can I get infected again? As my 1 year old is very little. So I have to take care of her all the day. And she also sleeps with me. (but not in those days when I was having chicken pox) I quarantine myself as soon as my doctor told me about this infection. Can I get infected again on my 14th day of recovery.

Normally one attack of chickenpox gives life long immunity to chickenpox, meaning no repeat attack. Your one year child which has chickenpox will also not get it again even if she comes in any contact.
