I am 6 weeks pregnant and have been recommended to take 1000 mg metformin for 3 months of pregnancy. My vitamin d level is 46.7 nmol/l. How much vit d can I take? Some gynecologist told me not to take vitamin d supplement but I feel very week (have back ache and body pain). Please suggest how much vitamin d can I take? Also is it okay to take metformin till 3 months of pregnancy?

Your vitamin d levels are normal no need to take it. The weakness is not due to vitamin d levels. This is regular in early pregnancy. Metformin is safe in pregnancy.
