If he has had consumed medications within 6 hours and brought to hospital, would be given a gastric lavage so as to remove the residual medications from the stomach and then needs to be monitored in icu for next 24-48 hours as excessive intake of benzodiazepine may lead to respiratory depression and hence, constant monitoring of oxygen level and other vitals becomes very important in such cases.
