Hello dr, I am 40 years and trying to conceive. My doctor told me that I wasn't ovulating and I am low on estrogen. He recommended glyciphage metformin which I took and my periods came promptly in the 1st month. I however supplemented the dosage with ova-max tabs and progynova 2 mg and this has caused my periods to delay and yet the pregnancy test is negative. Kindly advise on what to do cause I am now worried. Thank you.

1) because of age before planning pregnancy understand and accept higher risk to both mother and baby. 2) any couple desirous of pregnancy and not getting the same naturally must meet a gynecologist or infertility specialist accepting the fact that it needs many reports and different trials of treatment. This means the couple must have patience and go to one with whom they have trust to stick for a long time. 3) because of age better to gget pregnancy at the earliest so choose such treatment like ivf (test tube baby) or similar.
