Hi Mr. lybrate-user in your case, your total bilirubin level is slightly elevated at 1.5 mg/dl, but your direct bilirubin level is within the normal range at 0.3 mg/dl. This suggests that your elevated bilirubin levels are due to an increase in indirect bilirubin. The underlying cause of elevated bilirubin levels can vary and requires further evaluation. The length of time it will take for your bilirubin levels to return to normal depends on the underlying cause and the effectiveness of any treatment.
