Hello. I took 75 mg armodafinil this morning 12 hours ago, I feel really anxious today. I take wellbutrin and citalopram everyday and I have emergency pill lorazepam if I feel too anxious. My question is that can I take a lorazepam now?

Hi lybrate-user. In addition to medication for relieving anxiety simple grounding techniques such as focusing on your body sensations and describing it or directing your attention to an object and describing it can calm you down. Psychotherapy can help you learn such skills and reduce your dependency on medication. It's far more holistic in its approach and research consistently shows that it can be used as the first line for reducing anxiety. Do let me know if you want to discuss this.

Here are a few strategies that you may find helpful: Practice relaxation techniques: Techniques such as deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, and mindfulness meditation can help calm the body and mind. Exercise regularly: Regular physical activity can help reduce anxiety and improve your mood. Get enough sleep: A lack of sleep can make anxiety worse, so it's important to get enough rest. Eat a healthy diet: A diet that is high in nutrients and low in sugar and caffeine can help support good mental health. Limit alcohol and caffeine: These substances can make anxiety worse and should be consumed in moderation. Talk to someone: Sharing your concerns with a trusted friend or loved one, or seeking support from a mental health professional, can be very helpful. Try to adopt a more positive outlook: Changing the way you think about things can be very helpful in reducing anxiety. For example, try to focus on the present moment and challenge negative thoughts. It's important to remember that it's normal to feel anxious from time to time, but if you are struggling with persistent and overwhelming anxiety, it's important to seek help from a mental health professional.
