Without examination, I can not say whether it is typhoid or not. But typhoid seems less likely based on your history. Other causes of igm positivity: cross-reactivity with other bacteria: igm antibodies can sometimes cross-react with other bacterial infections, leading to a false positive result. Previous exposure or vaccination: if a person has been previously vaccinated against typhoid fever or has had a past infection, they may still have detectable igm antibodies in their blood. Non-typhoidal salmonella infection: other types of salmonella bacteria can cause infections that may lead to the production of igm antibodies. Other infections: certain viral infections, such as dengue fever, can also lead to the production of igm antibodies that may cross-react with typhoid fever tests. Lab error: false positive results can sometimes occur due to errors in the laboratory testing process.
