Dulcolax is intestinal motility stimulant dosage being 1-2 tablets at bedtime. Normally used temporarily. Duphalac increses the water content of stools. The effective dose of these drugs may vary from person to person and habit of taking such medicines. Management of constipation is group of different efforts. Like plenty of water intake, more fibre content in diet like green leafy vegetables, fruits, multi grain items, daily light exercise like walking etc. Taking minimal possible dose is important to avoid side effects. Effective dose of particular medicine will be different from person to person. Minimum possible dose is advised. It is better to discuss the constipation issue with your doctor for likely cause and take medications only as advised.
