I am 46 year male. Have been suffering from gastroenteritis for the past 48 hours (my six year old was the first in the house to be infected followed by my wife and then me). For me - vomiting followed by diarrhea. Both have now stopped. However my stools have been pale yellow since then. Is this normal?

Pale yellow stools in normal person is possible with some change in diet. In case of Post Acute Gastroenteritis there may be some indigestion following Giardiasis or Protzoal infection. Avoid fast food . refined and oily food for some time. Once frequency of stools are normal, Stools are well formed and appetite is restored. No importance be given to pale yellow stools.
