Vertigo (dizziness) is a sensation of movement of the self or the surroundings when there is no actual movement. It can be perceived as a spinning or wheeling sensation, lightheadedness, imbalance or unsteadiness. These sensations are accompanied by nausea, vomiting or any difficulty with balance.
