Having constipation and hemorrhoids longer than 3 months .a family doc recommended to use zifilbx and normaxin for a week. After taking medicine from 1st day I felt better. But when I stopped taking them same problem appears again despite having enough fibre and exercise, more water etc .what should I do now.

Hello sir. Very sad to hear about it. Use proctosydl ointment and polyethylene glycol powder for 2 weeks. It gives nice results for my patients. Use indian closet for toilet. Maintain hydration - which lost due to exercise and it will be replenished if you drink 3 litres of water per day. Eat fig, overnight soaked 6-8 raisin, ripe guava to have good soften fibred stool. Take an appointment for second opinion with surgeon hope this helps. Take care sir.

You have not mentioned your age, your dietary habits, your profession ,your habits and life style. You have constipation for more than 3 months. For primary treatment -- 1) change your life style, dietary habits, leave all bad habits. 2) take plenty of liquids. 3) avoid dry and bakery foods, outside spicy foods, maida flour food items, refrigerated foods. 4) more green leafy vegetables, foods with fibers. 5) regulate your defecatory habits. If needed ,take bulk purgatives. Increase water intake. 6) consult general surgeon/ proctosurgeon / gi surgeon for proper diagnosis. As per your information, you have to go for proper consultation, diagnosis with proper investigations and management. 7) follow strictly the norms of life. Follow all suggestions of your doctors. Without consulting proper doctor, taking hafajard medicine is dangerous for life.
