Dear doctor, i'm a 42 years old female, having 2 kids. I've decided to take sevista 60 mg tablet for contraceptive. Could you please let me know: - can I start before my period comes or it has to be on 1st day of periods. - whats the dosage? - after taking the 1st tablet, can I perform unprotected sex (not using condom) thank you.

Contraceptive dose for sevista is 30 mg twice a week for first 12 weeks and then 30 mg once a week from 13th week onwards. You have to start the medication from 1st day of menstrual cycle and follow the regimen. We advise additional contraception (condoms) for first month of starting it.
