Mega cv has been prescribed for my 4.5 months old baby, weighing 5.5 kgs. She has urine infection and fever too. Mega cv (1.2 ml twice a day) has been given for infection for 5 days and calpol for fever (0.8 ml thrice for 3 days. Is it good to use sir. I'm concerned as baby is just 4 months old and she sleeping. Not sure if she sleeping becoz of improper sleep last or is it because of the mega cv syrup. Will there be any side effects in the future. Also, if baby spits/ vomit after giving the medicine, should we give the medicine (drops) again.

Dear parents, mega cv is available in 2 forms. One is drops.(in which higher concentration of drug is present). Another form is syrup (lower concentration is present. Out of these two, which one are you using. Bcoz pediatrician always prescribe proper dose and concentration, if you still have doubt, look for what I have said. There are some side effects in each and every drugs. And its variable from person to person. But commonly slight loose motion is frequent with mega cv. But no effect on future. If your baby spits out or vomit out whole the dose immediately, then you can repeat the dose. If vomits after half an hour of dose. You do not need to repeat the dose. For further queries.
