Hi, thank you for the query. I wouldn't worry about your health. It's more an icky kind of problem than a health problem. The larvae cannot infect you at all; they can only live in fruit. Anything you didn't digest will pass out. One thing about these fruitflies--the female lays eggs on the surface of the fruit & when the larvae hatch, they burrow inside. The outside of the fruit can look just fine until you cut it open. Be careful when you eat a fruit the next time.
