We have been married since 1 and half years and we are planning for a baby from last 3 months but couldn't get positive result. What could be the reason for such scenario. Also my wife is facing irregularity in her periods, when we tried for first month her period came 15 days then in second month her period came in 27 days and this month it came in just 21 days. So not sure what could be the reason. Please suggest what to do in such case.

Pregnancy can occur only one day of the cycle that is ovulation day so unprotected sex around that day only important. As only one day in month nature should be given 12-24 trials (12 to 24 months) before couple need any active management by gynecologist or infertility specialist those who have regular 28 days cycle get ovulation around 14th day counting from the first day of the period (bleeding) means sexual intercourse around 11 to 16th day helps for pregnancy. Those who get cycles differently calculations have to be made differently as ovulation occurs 14 days prior to the next period. Any couple desirous of pregnancy and not getting the same naturally must meet a gynecologist or infertility specialist accepting the fact that it needs many reports and different trials of treatment. This means the couple must have patience and go to one with whom they have trust to stick for a long time.
