I am 5 week pregnant and I had excessive loose motion yesterday, my doctor prescribed me metronidazole and ciprofloxacin iv. Does metronidazole and ciprofloxacin affect my baby. I am really worried about my child health in pregnancy.

Better to avoid both the medicines. Cefixime is safe at 5 weeks. You can take 200 mg twice daily for 5 days. Take who ors and eat only rice based food for the next few days. For more information you can get in touch with me.
