Hello. My baby is 1 month 15 days old. She has been found reducing substance present in her stool. Previously she fed nan pro but then my doc suggest to switch to isomil but it tightened her stool very much so my pediatric advise to give her nan lolac but still reducing substance is pressing her stool. My breast milk is not enough to feed her completely n I am trying constantly to feed her with my breast milk but I failed and that makes her fussy n cranky. Pls suggest me some solution or what formula is suited for her.

Breastmilk is best and it will only increase as you continue feeding. However if the baby is having loose stools you can try lactose free substitutes. Also if there is any redness around the nappy region you can apply ointments locally.

Reducing substance in stools can be a normal finding if the baby has had multiple episodes of loose stools in past few weeks. You should focus on just one powder formula milk and make it correctly in terms of composition, be it any. Stop bottle feeding if using. Measure water 30 ml with 10 ml syringe, and mix with one scoop level full powder. Use cup and spoon feeding. Child will be happy and full. Continue breastfeeding. Consult me if still problem persisting. Will advise.
