Ask Free Question
Mr. Lybrate-user, tsh level of 6.37 milli units/l, is higher than the normal, but at that level no treatment is advised. This is considered as sub - clinical level. Treatment is advocated only when tsh goes above 10 milli units/l. But certain precautions should be taken like avoid soy beans, soy containing products, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, radish, peanuts, mustard and coffee. Should consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads and fruits. Use whole grain flour for chapati and roti, also avoid high fat milk products and highly processed products. Exercise daily for 1 hour to maintain near normal weight. Kee checking tsh level once in 6 months. If it goes above 10 milli units or if there any severe symptoms of hypothyroidism with low t4 levels then t4 (thyroxine) tablets nay be taken.
