My father age 78 year suffering from abdomen pain for last six months. He feels pain some one day in left side another day right side or both side. Ct abdomen is ok. At least once in a day pain aggravate and had to take meftal spas to get relief. Please suggest remedy. He takes peg 4k solution for constipation.

Hi, the way you describe pain getting better with meftal spas, it is usually a pain arising from some blockage to hollow organ (intestine or ureter). Ct normal - need to know whether it was a contrast enhanced ct scan and whether any oral contrast was given. You need to see a gastroenterologist who will be able to decide the origin of pain based on detailed history and examination. May require a colonoscopy.
